- Hold the phone at eye level, about an arm's length away. Shooting from above or below changes the shape of your face, and no editing brings it back.
- Keep your head straight and look into the camera.
- Face a window or another soft light. Avoid direct sun and overhead lamps.
- Let your hair fall away from your face.
- Take off sunglasses and hats. Prescription glasses and religious head coverings are fine when your document allows them.
- Keep your eyes open and relaxed.
- A light smile works on badges, student cards and most applications. Passport and visa photos need a neutral face.
- Make sure you are the only person in the frame.
Yes. Every type in our catalogue has its own size, head height and margins, and we cut your photo to those numbers, then measure them on the finished file. Some places only accept photos taken at a licensed studio, so check with yours before you submit.
Anywhere that prints photos. In the US, Walgreens and CVS do it in about an hour. In Europe, dm and Rossmann have self-service kiosks in most stores, and any photo lab works too. Ask for a 4×6 inch print, or 10×15 cm in Europe: it is the same sheet. We already placed your photos on it with cut marks.
We delete your photo and the result automatically: after 7 days if you don't buy, and 30 days after you do, so you have time to download it again. We never train AI models on your photos and never pass them to anyone else. We also never save the map of your face that the similarity check uses.
Send us the written rejection within 30 days and we refund you in full. You see the finished photo before you pay, so you always know exactly what you are buying.
